from 4845 reviewsI'm new to pickleball as of about 4 months ago, but am not new to racket sports, having played a decent amount of tennis and table tennis, along with dabbling with recketball and badminton. When I first was trying out the sport, I got a sub $50 paddle off of Amazon. Some of my buddies had recently upgraded to $200-$300 paddles and I couldn't match their power, spin, or control, but I wasn't willing to put that kind of $$ down on a sport I'm still new to. Looking for something with similar build technologies at a more affordable price, I landed on Vatic. My $100 paddle immediately evened the field for me. The greater pop from a much larger sweet spot was awesome, but my favorite thing is the spin! All of a sudden I could move the ball like I was playing table tennis! My serve started dropping in halfway to the back of the court, allowing/forcing me to serve harder, and my backhand got a little nasty. It surprised me how much an equipment upgrade could have an immediate impact on my game.
My buddies and I are quite truthfully somewhere in the 3.0-3.5 range. We have some power and control but need to work on learning the nuances and finesse of this game. I cannot speak to how well this racket holds up to $300+ alternatives or how it would do at a more competitive level, but do find it to be an amazing fit for me as I continue to progress.
Great paddle. Just like all the reviews say. I Added 3 grams at 3 and 9 o’clock and played nice. Good power and paddle still had decent control and maneuverability. Next outing I Will stack another 3 grams on top at 3 and 9 o’clock to see if there are net gains.
I’m in Canada total all in cost was $211 CAD. $40 went towards tariff charge. (Around 35%). Politics aside, would I buy it again with the extra tariff…yes but the great value Vatic Pro provided just got suck up by the government.
This paddle has a nice feel for both touch and spin. The handle is a little longer than my previous ones which is good.
I have only played with the paddle twice but so far loving it. Great control and plenty of power.
I'll start with the cons because I just want to get them out of the way... My shipping got messed up, I ordered 2 day shipping and paid $17 for it but their system apparent didn't print the correct shipping label so I got standard shipping instead that took 7 days. They refunded me for my shipping, I was disappoint I had to wait but the wait was worth it! Customer service was great.
Now for the pros: This paddle is awesome! It has effortless power, my serves are faster AND more accurate because I don't have to swing as hard. Yet, unlike my experience with the boomstick, this paddle is very plush and easy to control at the kitchen line while still having the pop for flicks and put-aways. I 100% would recommend this paddle!
For future versions (...cause I will be buying more) I would love some more colors of the paddle or for just the graphics on the face of the paddle to be a neutral color like white so I could customize it with my own color schemes and not worry about them not matching with the face of the paddle.
Love the pop, control and spin all seem better than the flash
Incredible paddle.
It has allowed me to keep my third shot drops consistent and with the new core, Ive been able to add a deceptive third shot drive using a compact swing.
Grabbing a second paddle before they sell out again.
I have 4 hours on the paddle, I've added 14 grams of weight including a tourna og overgrip, now 8.4 ounces. Paddle has medium high power with managable pop due to the foam core. Feel is more muted than a Gen 3. Spin is good, especially on serves and drives, more grit would help with spin on softer shots. As usual big time value from Vatic.
This is a great paddle. I have both the Pro and Power. The Pro has a forgiving sweet spot (added weight at 3 and 9). Plenty of power and control. Good weight and balance for fast hands and the firepower at the NVZ is top tier. Excellent dwell on the face so can put a nice amount of spin on shots. I highly recommend this paddle.
V-Sol Pro (All Shapes) (16mm) (Includes Paddle Cover)
I have the pro and the power (both long handles since I have bigger hands and two handed backhand). I started with the prism flash 18 months ago as a 3.0 and loved it. Then as I got more competitive and hit the 4.5 mark i needed more power.
Out of the box the power model feels more like an older Gen with a dampened touch like the prism, but still packs a punch that is what I'd call a low to mix tier power paddle. The pro feels similar... Then you add some weight. Both of these paddles become monsters.
I like the pro bloom and the flash power. The pro has become my favorite. Light for hand battles, good pop and excellent power, but easy to control for dinks, easy to bend shots , build topspin, and a monster for finishing points.
At sub 100 with a code, it doesn't get much better. I became an ambassador because I liked the product so much. Just like my old vatic, I am confident these paddles will last and will take this over any paddle on the market.
Got the V7 V-Sol Pro. Bought two of them. Put 6 grams on each side of the paddle. This is the most stable powerful paddle I have ever used. Usuable power. Good spin. A little poppy, but just takes a bit to get used to it. But got comfortable in a few sessions and love playing with it. No reason to spend more money on a paddle.
I'll keep it short. It's the best paddle I've played with. Massive, massive sweet spot. Incredible power. You'd think the pop would make it difficult to hit touch/soft shots, but somehow it allows me to hit drops and dinks pretty effortlessly. Long handle. Customizable. Also just $100 which kind of boggles my mind. I would never get anything over $100 when something like this exists. Had a small adjustment period coming from a gen 2 paddle, namely spin generation (these poppy foam paddles imparts more spin if you hit with a more closed paddle face rather than sharp upward motion), but once I got the hang of it, it was very consistent. I'd get this ten times over.
Best paddle I've used. This thing is a weapon from all over the court. Amazed by the control on dinks/resets and you will not want for power. I HIGHLY recommend snagging a V Sol or two. Great paddle and value. Thanks Vatic!!!
I bought the v7 LH and it plays well out of the box. It really shines with a slyce cap and the new slyce weights (7.5 ounces each) added at 3 and 9 o’clock. With this setup it dramatically opened up the sweet spot and added a bit of extra power from the baseline. I was previously playing with the 11six24 alpha pro power and I like this setup better overall and at a fraction of the cost. You can use “boom” at checkout for 10 off!
