Overall a solid paddle

I have been playing pickleball for 14 months. My 1st paddle was a Vatic Prism-Flash. Really liked the paddle for control, and it was marketed as a "very good all-round performance paddle." 100% agree. As my game is evolving, I wanted to start using a 2 handed backhand to vary shot selection. I needed a longer handled paddle to do this. The Vatic Saga Pro 16mm was my paddle of choice to do this. This paddle packs a little more pop, and still gives me control and placement. I have only been using the paddle for 1 week and just started learning the 2 handed technique. I will update on how that progresses. Too early to tell. I highly recommend the Vatic Saga. The paddle is quality, reliable, and lives up to the Vatic reputation of excellence and affordable pricing.

Great Paddle!

Plenty of power, effortless touch, easy ability to generate whatever kind of spin you desire, and it looks great! Would buy another Vatic Pro paddle again in the future for sure.

Drive Drop Monster

This is a fantastic player that plays the Drive Drop combo or a poacher at heart. I get the drive I want without messing it up by popping up my next shot. Stay in the game longer and play a Saga.

Saga Flash 16mm SH

If you have a Prism Flash and are looking for your next paddle, I would highly recommend the Saga!

This is my favorite paddle ever! The last two paddles I’ve used were the Vatic Pro Prism Flash (for six months) and the Bread & Butter Shogun (for six months). I like this one way more than both of those.

The Saga has been very easy and natural to get used to and play with. I feel like I have all the control I want while also having the power I need, without it being difficult to control. I loved the Prism Flash for its control, but I switched to the Shogun for more power without going overboard. However, for me, the Shogun was difficult to control. I’m not a skilled enough or precise enough player to use it well, and I constantly struggled with it. The sweet spot wasn’t as forgiving, and I don’t think the elongated design worked for me—it actually gave me tennis elbow. It took me three months to get used to it.

The Saga, on the other hand, felt natural after just one week.

Saga Flash

I bought the Saga Flash SH. It plays very similar to my Vatic Flash. Both are 16 mm and provide all the power I need.
