PRISM (14mm & 16mm) (Includes Paddle Cover)

Just started playing and knew right away I needed to upgrade and read a lot of reviews on this paddle and a lot of others and decided on the prism..... Best choice I could have made! The spin is amazing on this paddle. I went from not being able to stop a ball to making them jump backwards! Will definitely be purchasing a higher end Vatic when the time comes

I've tried quite a few paddles, and I keep coming back to the Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16mm with the elongated handle.
What I love most about this paddle is the low pop and incredible control. If your opponents like to hit hard drives, this paddle makes resets feel effortless. Blocks, drops, and soft game shots are where it shines. The ball doesn't spring off the face unexpectedly, which gives me a ton of confidence at the kitchen line. For my style of play, I don't need the extra power of something like the Ruby or other higher-pop paddles. I'd much rather have consistency and control.

The handle shape and size are perfect. I have large hands, and I absolutely hated the massive handle on my 16mm Selkirk Vanguard—even with the thinnest Hesacore grip available. The elongated handle on the Prism Flash feels just right. I currently use the elongated Hesacore grip, which is slightly thicker, and even with that added size it still feels natural and comfortable rather than awkwardly oversized.

The biggest downside is surface durability.
The used paddle in the photos has only about two months of use, playing roughly 2–5 times per week, and I'd estimate it now has about 50% of the spin/grit it had when new. By comparison, my Six Zero Ruby took around nine months to reach a similar level of wear. The Prism Flash is still very playable after the grit wears down, but the spin drop-off is noticeable.

If Vatic Pro ever released a version with significantly improved grit durability—even if it cost an additional $50—I'd buy it immediately. This paddle checks every other box for me.

Overall, I'll continue buying these paddles and have already recommended them to several people. For players who prioritize control, resets, and a comfortable elongated handle over maximum power, the Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16mm remains one of the best values in pickleball.

The only thing keeping it from a perfect score is the durability of the spin texture. Fix that, and this paddle would be nearly impossible for me to replace.

My son is 11. He randomly saw people playing pickleball at the park while e was playing on the playground. He ran into the court where 562 Pickleball play and ask to try it. They loved his enthusiasm. I didn't know if this was a flash in the pan or a real interest so I bought a Head extreme from Target for us. He stayed the course for over a year and it was a time to buy him a real paddle. I researched it and decided he would blossom (pun coming) with the Vatic Prism Bloom. He loves it. He now plays/trains in Long Beach CA at Sommer Set Park with 562-pickleball twice a week. He also plays at Marine Vista Park on Sunday. I do play as well, and will be buying a Saga soon.

My students frequently ask for advice on decent paddles at reasonable prices. I read good things about the Vatic Flash so I purchased one to use as a loner for beginners.
This paddle is very good for control shots. Good spin. Needs effort to generate real power but it’s good overall. Paddle cover is decent but the printing is not straight.
Does not affect the paddle performance but hints of lack of attention to detail.
Definitely worth the money in spite of the lettering.

The Vatic Prism Bloom offers a combination of stability, control, and affordability. It's a well-rounded paddle suitable for a wide range of players who want control and consistent performance, particularly on resets and dinks. While not a power-focused paddle, its stability allows players to counter aggressive shots. The price-to-performance ratio is is what makes the Bloom and other Prism paddles the ones I recommend to beginners all the time.

The prism flash is amazing! I have used this paddle everyday since its arrival. With the ability to absorb so much pace and shape any shot, I’ve become a true menace on the court. My serve variety has expanded due to the paddle face having a tremendous amount of grip and control on hard serves. I will also be adding the Saga Flash to my bag!

Very nice for the price. Mine is angled at the top of the frame. Almost like it’s two pieces put together and they didn’t match up perfectly or the grommet isn’t all the way on? Very good feel and spin. Nice overall

I ordered two V-7 Prism 16mm L. H. paddles & was instantly affirmed & received the paddles promptly as promised. I was delighted to see they matched at 8.1oz without even asking! I weighed them and confirmed. Unfortunately, my doubles partner stole my other, She loves it!
I played Fla. H.S. Tennis & Instructed later in my 20's. Now 68 and at the 4.0 level & Instructing on Tuesdays (for free), I find the Prism line exceptional in their forgiveness & touch.
Even on the challenge court at 4.0+, the V-7 gives me all the power that my Legacy or Pro Drive did when needed, but with far more control ! I've sold my others already to a friend.
I roll 2 handed dinks much easier with the long handle. This paddle is nimble & quick, don't let the 128 swing weight scare you a bit, as verified by my Partner Debbie at 5'4" tall.
It's not poppy like a Thermoformed and that's what I was looking for.

Huge sweet spot, offers good power, gritty face, and light weight to keep your hands fast.

Like Prism but with longer handle for backhands. New shape for hand speed and larger sweet spot. Best of all, the launch edition design. I’ve complained about paddle design or the lack thereof. Boring colors, boring logos on the paddle. The launch edition is a beautiful periwinkle blue, with a design, and animals. It’s my dream paddle. I wish they would make more so we can buy them. This is the only downside…please make more Vatic!!

After a year of trying out all of the new power paddles and struggling with my soft game, I switched to the Vatic Prism V7 and I have leveled up!

My dinking, resets, and patience have improved so much and I have finally hit my stride in 4.0 and winning consistently.

I used the paddle for the first time yesterday and was quite pleased. However, I did notice that the rubber piece that covers where the handle meets the paddle is split. Will you please send me a new piece of rubber to replace it? It looks like a small rubber band that says “Vatic Pro”. I believe I will able to slip it right on.

I really think the Prism V7 is the perfect paddle. I add weight to the sides of the paddle. It's the Selkirk strips (see pic). It makes it a touch top heavy but that's how I like it. If you want it lighter, cut the strips in half and put it in the same spot I put mine just start about an inch up from the handle so it goes around the bottom edge and halfway up the side. This paddle is the 14mm it can hit hard but also useful in the soft game. The grit is great for spin. I also own the flash and I believe this version is better overall. It has a lot of plow and a huge sweet spot especially once you add the weight. People ask if the added weight will slow you down. It will not make a big difference in hand speed but will make a big difference in pop, power, and sweet spot. You don't need to take as big swings which makes up for the added weight and minor loss of hand speed. I've owned about 8 different paddles and this is my go to and the price is a bonus. At this price I can afford to replace my paddle twice as often which is huge.

I have been playing with the Prism Flash for a year and it seemed like I couldn't get a soft hit from it anymore. So, I thought I'd try the Prism v7 this time as I wanted to stay with Vatic and I've played with the Prism for about 40 games now. I really wanted the longer handle that the Prism has, and I really like that. The shape is more squared off than the Flash and because of that I have dragged the paddle across the ground going for low balls, unlike with the Flash. The Prism seems to have more pop when hitting in the sweet spot but the ball gets a little snakey off the sides and edges of the paddle. I can still dink well with this paddle and I do have a better smash with the Prism than the Flash. I'm still up in the air which one I like better, both are good!
