I bought both in the Flash version, because I had both sizes in the Prism series from 18 months ago. The SAGAs have more power than the Prism, but still very controllable. Kind of like a weighted up Prism.

I’ve been using the Foam Paddle Project 008 for a while, and I honestly thought moving back to a thermoformed paddle might feel like a downgrade. But after doing a lot of research and testing different options, the Vatic Pro Saga Bloom 14mm ended up being exactly the kind of paddle I’ve naturally been settling into.

Right away, I noticed how much this paddle supports my play style. The control on resets and dinks feels clean and predictable, the spin comes easy, and the pop is there when I’m ready to attack. I bought Saga V7 and it plays just as good as the other paddle I bought for wife for twice as much. This one is lighter, has good power and spin. The only difference I see is cosmetic. Saga hitting surface developed a dusty worn out look just after two hours of hitting where as the other brand paddle still looks new. We only played with each other under the same conditions. I don't care about the looks as long as the paddle lasts long which Vatics apparently do. I am happy overall.

After trying various different paddles from different companies, I have settled into vatic pro for my go to paddle. Five paddles ago I started with the basic prism paddle. I have worked my way up to the V 7 saga, 16 mm. I think after I wear this paddle out, I will go to the same paddle in a 14 mm and try that.

My Vatic Pro Saga Flash 16mm really contributes to leveling up my game. A really nice blend of control, soft feel and power.

Bought the vatic pro v7 saga 14mm SH paddle after doing far too much research. I'm relatively new to the game and am a skeptic on how much equipment matters. This paddle instantly improved my game, period. More power than my 16mm paddle I had prior, without losing any control. Would definitely recommend, but take the time to figure out proper thickness, paddle shape, and handle length prior.

Day one with the V7 saga long handle was good. It took a few games to stay on top of this powerful beast. The speed and spin were more than the other Vatic Paddles ive had or used For $129...$119 with coupon code Save10Cash...this plays like the thrive Azul. The extra reach paid off several times. I forgot to give the 2 handed back hand a try but it will obviously be better than any shorter paddle. This paddle being a 14mm creates a faster pop off the face. Making this paddle very fast on the speed ups at the net. I hit many more passing shots than i expected. People seemed to be behind on their swings..like a baseball pitcher tossing 100mph ! Im gonna work on my 2 handed topspin crosscourt backhand tomorrow. Ill post again.

After three nights of play id have to say it doesn't have as much plow through drive power as the VP carbon 14mm Hybrid, but on the third night I added weighted tape to the top two corners of the paddle. The tape boosted the power. The power is a pop off the paddle power. A full swing is not needed to get it deep. When you lower your swing speed to 70% or so and really concentrate (get it in the sweet spot) you are able to place the ball quite nicely. In a way its helping me get to the K-line faster because its less likely to help me blow the ball by anyone from the back court. (with no lead tape) At the K-line its fast in hand and helps you get those reaching topspin flick shots. Especially when trying to pin your opponent into the back court. Spin is up there. I got my back hand flip shot in with some heavy topspin much better on the third night of play. Better than my VP carbon 14. I have not played singles with the Bloom 14mm yet(Ill post another review when I do). A patient player can do very well with this Bloom Saga 14mm. I will continue to use it for doubles. What a great paddle to start with. I’m a tennis player so my beginner level wasn’t the same as most, so this paddle has been great for me.

TDLR: I love this paddle, it’s a great upgrade from the Prism Flash.

I’ve got a DUPR of 3.5. I started with the Prism Flash 14mm, which I loved. I added a hesacore and 12gr weight. Played with it about a year until ball response started getting wonky. I assume the core was crushed. After that I bought the 16mm version. Wow! So plush. Great control, highly recommend that paddle for beginners. No weight added, just perfect out of the box. I upgraded to the 14mm Flash Carbon Fiber, looking for a bit more power, but it was too poppy for me. I sold it and went back to my 16mm Prism Flash. Now, I’ve bought the Saga Bloom 14mm, and OMG. It’s just like my beloved Prism Flash 14, but w just enough pop and increased power. I noticed if I didn’t defend some hard drives in the sweet spot, my returns were going out the sidelines. I added 3 gr weight and problem solved. Paddle feels like a steal at this price!

The first day I used it, I won 3rd place in a doubles tournament. As did my partner who referred the paddle to me, Robyn Loftis. My elbow and wrist are not sore at all, which was a huge concern. The shape has stabilized the wobbles I normally got with the Black Ace.
My daughter loves it as well. We have both gained more control and therefore play with more confidence.

Pop is wonderful while still having great control and touch. Nice grit to the touch. Lightweight out of the box and plays great stock, but a touch of weight makes it even better for my preferences. Not the most powerful for sure, but there is plenty when it's needed and the weight helps a little here too.

My favorite paddle so far after switching from the Ripple R2, Chorus Fire, Pulse V, Paddletek ESQ-C 12.7, and the Joola Pro IV 14mm Scorpeus.

I’m really loving the Bloom shape in 14mm. I have to take this paddle out my bag so that my others get some love also. If it’s in my bag, I’m reaching for it.

I have both the Prism Flash 14mm and Prism Bloom 16mm, and the Saga Flash 16mm is definitely a different paddle. It doesn’t have the plush feel of the Prism line—it's a bit more top-heavy and carries extra weight, but the handle is a true upgrade.

Unlike the Prism, the Saga doesn’t have that handle vibration, which is a big plus. Gameplay-wise, it feels similar, but there’s a noticeable bump in power. The sweet spot is solid, though the tighter response makes it less "feelable" compared to the Prism line.

With bigger swings, the Saga really delivers the response you’re looking for. Overall, it’s a great upgrade from the Prism series to the Saga. Highly recommend it.

I have ordered and tried so many paddles throughout my 7 months of playing pickleball. I have tried truly great paddles but none of them fit me to the point of sticking with them. UNITL the Vatic Pro Saga Flash SH! This is the best paddle I have tried to date and I can't put it down. I'm playing significantly better in open play and league and it is my main now.

What makes this paddle great other than it's samarai graphics with my favorite color orange, is its ability to hit hard when I want it to but also hitting soft when I want it to. Every shot in the game is easier with this paddle. I can line drive it just over the net passed my opponents and then on the next shot drop it just over the net with ease.
